Determining the Behavior of Door Impact Beam Tubes Under Three Point Bending Loading

In real crash cases, simple bending behavior is not common. this case, using the three-point test to examine provides a closer simulation in terms of representation structure under loading. It seen literature that products with tube sections are generally used as door im-pact beams. On other hand, when examining developed high strength steels, it studies on profiles only evaluated hydroforming. study, dual-phase steel tubes impact beams investigated by means loading experimental and numerical studies. For purpose, DP500 DP600 grades materials. Three-point tests performed for both materials then force-stroke curves, springback values obtained experi-mentally. second stage finite element analyses Hill-48 plasticity model. Force-stroke amount springback, product forms compared results. curves highly compatible results however determined higher than
